Title:   Kantharos: West Slope

Description:   One handle and fragments of lip and body missing; restored in plaster. A tall kantharos with plain lip. Upper half of body slightly concave, set off from lower, ovoid, body by a broad shallow groove. Profiled foot. Vertical band handles with plastic ivy leaf on top. West slope decoration in white and yellow on upper half of body: on either side, a cornucopia between ears of grain; dot rosettes as filling ornaments.
Dull black glaze, somewhat worn and flaked in places.
Context:   Cistern, lower fill, container 15.
