Description: | Two non-joining pieces of the concave vertical wall of a black glazed kantharos. Traces of handle attachment on fragment b). The lip is very slightly thickened and rounded. Running horizontally around the wall, a stamped design: a central band of large palmettes set off by grooves from an upper band of small palmettes and a lower band of small inverted concentric semi-circles. Clay fired gray in part; good black glaze, mottled to gray on interior. | |
