| Description: | Parts of rim and much of walls missing; restored in plaster. Oinochoe of Type III, the shoulder rather high, the high ring foot very neatly made, concave in profile outside and in, and set off from the wall outside by a sharp ridge. The mouth is broadly trefoiled, the handle, round in section is attached at the lip with shouldering. Around the shoulder is painted a large ivy wreath formed of two long sprays which start at the back and meet at the center front in a large berry cluster. The central stem is gently undulating as are also the subsidiary stems to which leaves and berry clusters are alternately added. Excellent black glaze outside; inside to base of neck; brown wash below. The glaze nearly all worn off the handle, and in a patch on one side. Underside of foot unglazed. The decoration is all in added clay, thick for the berries, thinner for the leaves, very thin and much perished for the stems.
