Title:   Openwork Kalathos Fragments

Description:   Four fragments from openwork kalathos: two from rim, one from body and one from base.
Decorated with zigzags, crosshatchings and bars on the rim. Glazed inside.
Simple style. Cf. CVA Athens, I, pl. 6:11.
Other fragments of similar kalathoi were found.
ADDENDA Four additional fragments from Box 165 were added in 1957, among them one horizontal brace.
a)-d) probably represent more than one pot [so also e)-h)], the second of nearly identical dimensions. ΣΤ 857, which cannot be accomodated on the same pot with the new fragment g), may have been its horizontal brace.
Other fragments belonging to these two pots are stored in a bag in Box ΣΤ 165 [ELS].
Notes:   Deposit revised as H 16:6 (cremation burial dug in 1967) but on deposit list of H 17:4, consultate JP (SD).
Context:   Geometric area, outside house, region near grave.
