Title:   Black Glaze Lekanis

Description:   Fragments of rim and wall missing, and a hole in the floor. Substantial projecting ring foot gives a moulded appearance by a groove run around it. Low open bowl, the wall turning out slightly at the rim; flange for lid inset and slightly in-sloping. Ribbon handles with their ends flattened against the wall.
Fair black glaze; the edge of the flange reserved; the insides of the handles and the handle spaces; the groove around the foot, the resting surface and the space inside the foot (no circles).
Notes:   4.90m. to bottom.
