Description: | Two fragments from broad handle of large neck amphora. Decorated with three stripes down the center and wavy bands on either side. Brownish paint. Apparently from same handle, which must have tapered considerably. Lower part wider than that of the Athens Nessos amphora (W. 0.08; Pfuhl (1923), fig. 89). The broad handle is common on large amphoras, but usually remains the same width. Subgeometric style. | |
