Title:   Black Figure Oinochoe

Description:   Round-bodied oinochoe on flaring ring foot, mended from many pieces; the mouth and upper part of the neck missing and fragments from the body. Restored in plaster. Warrior (with crested helmet, spear and shield) left, between two women, each of whom holds a staff or spear.
Sketchy incision. Red for the head-piece of the helmet and for bands on the women's cloaks. White for the women's flesh, for groups of dots on their cloaks and for three large dots as the shield device. Above the panel a double row of dots between bands; a single line at the sides and for the ground line below. Two red bands around the pot just below the panel.
Glaze mottled red to black, worn. Inside glazed to base of neck.
