Title:   Black Figure Plate Fragment

Description:   Two joining fragments give part of the flat floor; beneath, one wide and two narrow glaze bands alternating with wide reserved bands around a central dot. Two harnessed horses moving right; behind them, a standing woman. In front of the horses a palmette on a curving stem. Above the scene, part of a tongue pattern, the tip of one black and one red tongue preserved. White for the woman's face and neck; for the bit of the near horse and for a double row of dots on his collar. Red for the woman's hairband, earring and chiton and for the neck of the near horse and the mane of the far horse. Very careful incision.
