Description:   Mended from many pieces; parts of rim and wall missing. Restored in plaster In the medallion a gorgoneion surrounded by a line of beading. From the beading springs a ring of pointed ribbed leaves; masks between their tips. In the figured zone, three times repeated, a warrior, nude, helmeted and carrying a shield, attacks a long-tailed mermaid; behind the warrior, a second fish-tailed damsel. Pairs of Nikai in the field. Upper zone: band of ovolos, then double spirals surmounted by leaves and rosettes alternating.
Scraped groove under rim; metallic glaze black to chocolate brown.
