Title:   Beaker Fragments: Brittle Ware

Description:   Eight pieces make up to two non-joining fragments.
a) Preserves part of the wall and bottom. Wall slightly concave in profile; ridged and grooved around lower edge; above this, a band of notched verticals. Base with very low ring foot, set well in from wall (as if a pyxis).
b) Preserves part of the wall and most of one handle; nothing of the rim. Double rolled vertical handle banded just below its top, where something has broken away. The two parts of the handle divide at the upper attachment to form shouldering, with a raised knob at the end of the preserved piece.
Fine fabric of thin gritty clay, red brown to dark gray at core; red-brown at the surface.
