Title:   White Ground Pyxis

Description:   Lower part only preserved. Tall pyxis with nearly vertical sides, spreading slightly at lower edge; substantial ring foot, set well in from edge of wall. Surface very badly preserved. In bottom zone, a running scroll pattern with berries; in upper zone, inverted triangles (leaves). Decoration in thinned glaze; a broad band of red around lower edge of wall.
Light brown clay. Heavy dull white slip.
Context:   Cistern, middle fill.
