Description: | Handles broken off and chips missing; otherwise complete. Shallow type with rounded lower wall and low vertical upper wall with out-turned rim. High moulded ring foot; short stem. Stamped on the floor, four palmettes set on a circle, within a rouletted band. Firm rather dull black glaze, fired red and somewhat peeled on one side. The resting surface (grooved) reserved; a scraped line at junction of stem and body, and another just above around the wall. | |
