Description: | The depicted figure (legs missing below the thighs, and back chipped) faces right toward a wool-basket set at right angles to him. A small bit of a wing(?) is preserved just above the small of his back. No relief contours; white for his double wreath and for the contents of the basket. Good glaze, inside and out, chipped. The clay grayed as if from burning. ADDENDA [White] for the necklace he holds; white dots to right of reserved area and loose ends hanging. White flower appears below. (R.Sutton) | |
