Title:   Kantharos Fragments: West Slope

Description:   Three mended fragments preserve parts of rim and wall and most of one handle; several scraps do not join. Small kantharos with rounded lower wall and high upper wall, somewhat drawn in at top. Band handle on upper wall, with applied ivy leaf.
Ivy wreath in thinned clay paint around upper wall, above a wheel run groove.
Glaze outside, firm black, somewhat metallic; inside duller, black to reddish-brown.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Disturbed pyre burial.
