Title:   Black Figure Plaque Fragments

Description:   Two non-joining fragments of a black figured plaque. Chariot scene.
a) Most of upper part of a woman to left; fillet on head; chiton ornamented with cross and dots; himation. She stands before the chariot; top of one horse's head preserved. Part of the framed border: labyrinth above, running maeander at side.
b) Part of the front of the chariot and a little of the wheel; tail of one horse; small part of the charioteer and the kentron. Behind the horses, part of the garment of a figure with bent right arm is preserved. Stars and dots on garment. Part of another figure bent forward: he wears corselet and sword.
Added red and white. The sides are painted red. Back surface glazed.
Context:   Well under Poros Building Drain, containers 8, 10, fill 3.
