Title:   Alabastron

Description:   Intact but for one missing handle and chips. Deeper in proportion to diameter than a normal alabastron and with a marked shoulder angle. Lower walls taper to flat bottom. Out-turned rim. The neck glazed, inside and out; bands of glaze on the handles. On shoulder, vertical stripes; from base of neck to band at shoulder angle. At the bottom of the wall, rough wave pattern above a band. Profile irregular; apparently handmade.
Context:   Mycenaean chamber tomb at north side of Temple of Ares. Pot #6.
