Title:   Black Glaze Skyphos: Attic Type

Description:   Missing both handles and fragments of walls. Restored in plaster. Rounded ring foot; narrow flat resting surface, scarcely lower than the underside of the floor (i.e. inner face of foot is minute). On the upper half of the exterior the glaze is dull and has peeled; in places on the interior the glaze fired reddish-brown, especially at the bottom as a result of stacking. Resting surface and underside of floor are reserved and reddened; the latter bears a glazed circle and dot, and also an incised circle. On the exterior at the junction of body and foot, there is a portion of the circumference reserved but not by design.
