Description:   Fragments missing from lip and wall on one side. A small hole bored in shoulder at side. Ovoid jug on flat bottom; shoulder slopes up to trefoil mouth; double-rolled rising handle. Broad band of glaze around bottom of wall; then narrow bands to just below handle attachment, where there is a broader reserved band filled with groups of zigzags. On neck and shoulder, panel framed by narrow bands: two horses, right; filling ornament, hatched lozenge, chevrons, band of zigzags hanging from upper border and, at center of panel beween the horses, triangles rising from lower border. Handle glazed outside.
Pinkish-buff clay; glaze red to brown, worn. Surface of pot much worn on shoulder, especially at center of panel.
Context:   Well.
