Title:   Red Figure Cup: Type B and Inscribed

Description:   Mended from several pieces; fragments of rim and wall, including upper right part of medallion, missing. Type B; lightly profiled foot.
Reserved band about tondo. Warrior left, with knees bent. Corinthian helmet in right hand, shield in left; greaves; broad head-band, or double fillet. The rim of the shield compass-drawn. He bends down, as if either picking up or setting down the helmet.
Outside plain. Relief contour. Outline of hair incised. Glaze outside in part fired red.
Context:   Well below Stoa gutter, box 13.
