Description: | A handle and small bit of the side are preserved. The handle is the shape of approximately half an oval and is horizontal with a hole pierced vertically through it. The wall is heavy. Transverse bars painted on the upper surface of the lug, horizontal line below the handle on the outside. Coarse, gritty red clay, redder on the inside, more buff at the core. Creamy buff slip on the exterior; brown paint. The interior unglazed. | |
