Title:   Black Figure Lekythos

Description:   Handle, much of shoulder and upper wall missing. General type as P 24316 (ΣΑ 2526): This is the characteristic general type for the large proportion of the lekythoi from this group. Bell mouth with variations in height and spread; lip usually reserved, occasionally glazed. Disk foot of varying thickness; below picture either one or two reserved lines. Added colors more or less well preserved. Only substantial variations are noted in the following descriptions.
Shoulder: dots above rays.
Above scene: double row of dots.
Scene: Dionysos reclining on ground, holding horn; on each side, crouching Satyr. On the underside of the base, two lines of glaze drawn as if to make an X, but skipping the wheel indentation at the center.
