Title:   Red Figure Askos Fragment

Description:   Fragment from top, retaining trace of handle.
Head of donkey to left, ears laid back. Two narrow reserved bands on shoulder of vase. Traces of incised sketch, from the decoration of the missing half, near break. No relief contour.
Pinkish-buff clay. Rather dull glaze.
Probably no later than ca. 450 B.C.
Context:   Road cut II, from soft trench, i.e. footing trench of wall bordering south side of east-west road.
