Title:   Red Figure Cup Fragment

Description:   Seems to be from center of cylix.
Head of hetaira. Preserved are: shoulders, neck and most of head in profile, right; nose and mouth and top of head broken away. The shoulders are nude; the head is thrust forward on the long neck. The hair is bundled up behind the ear except for a little around the brow.
Attic clay. Good black glaze inside and out. Neck muscles and necklace in thin, brown glaze. Otherwise all lines relief save irregular edge of hair against face.
