Description:   Fragment from the floor preserving part of a groove and tiny part of the foot.
Around tondo, tongue pattern alternately red and black. Lower part of a draped figure right. Leg of someone lunging(?) to right; leg of a running animal whose tail appears in front of the man's leg. Between the tail and the leg traces of something else (lion's skin). In the exergue, dog right. Applied red; glazed beneath.
The picture might be Herakles and Nessos; cf. CVA Munich, pl. 18, 2 and 20, 1.
