Title:   Storage Amphora Fragments
Category:   Pottery
Description:   One fragment preserves part of rim with angular mushroom lip (this fragment may belong to P 25424). A second large fragment preserves most of lower body, with neatly collared toe, deeply depressed beneath.
Clay pink with light gray core; buff surface.
Context:   Well in Stoa Shop VI.
Handling:   Plans to redesign or renovate the "Amphorae S-E Shelves" storage space are ongoing. The storage shelves are too narrow and structurally too weak for the size of vessels placed on them. Consequently many of the amphorae are precariously placed near shelf edges, on shelves that bow from the excessive weight of the vessels.
