Description:   One of three non-joining fragments preserves part of one of the vertical handles. Two other fragments with shallow curvature are from near the base.
Outside: under handle, sphinx's spread wing. At left lion(?) to left. Lower parts of more sphinxes(?) standing on checker pattern bordered by triple lines, fine rays at bottom. Inside: parts of two padded dancers with incised drinking horns. In field: blob rosettes. Added purple on dancers' padding, sphinx's wing. Much incision.
Corinthan clay.
Middle Corinthian.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Sacred pit to north of Altar of Ares; inside actual pit.
