Description: | Preserved: one-half of bowl, one handle and root of second, base. Mended from eleven pieces and restored in plaster. Amphoroid krater with two vertical flat strap handles from rim to bottom of decorated zone. Raised ring base with flat sides, concave foot, deep conical sagging bowl, thin rim everted at 90°. Foot and rim painted solid; one-two bands above foot, three below decorated zone, bands on handle edges looping below and one horizontal, one diagonal bar; thin stripes framing top and sides of decorated zone filled with scale-net pattern. Very coarse pale buff clay with large pock marks, pits and grit particles; dirty green-buff slip, worn black-green paint mostly gone except on rim and handle. MP type 6 (LH III A:1), motive 70 (II-III B). | |
