Description:   Disc, probably jar-stop, cut from large circular painted vessel. At one point on the circumference is part of the rim of the original pot, with some of the black painted border preserved. The preserved black glazed decoration includes part of the hindquarters, body, neck and wings of a mythical beast, rendered in a stylized manner. On reserved background are zigzag, dots and swastika decorations in black glaze.
Context:   Lowest fill inside walls of 5th. c. B.C. Hieron, near wall of "Proto-Hieron".
