Title:   Red Figure Cup Fragment: Type C

Description:   Mended from three pieces; the medallion complete save for chips to the frame; the stem preserved, but not the foot; none of the rim. Scene depicts youth wearing Persian cap, reclining.
For the scheme cf. P 2579, where a nude warrior in long-earred cap crouches left, holding a crescent shield before him. No relief contours; broad black brush(?) lines for what drawing there is. The medallion frame reserved. Crude execution. The glaze fired chocolate brown; chipped.
