Title:   Kantharos: West Slope

Description:   Mended from about 30 pieces. Missing small area from lip. Flaring ring foot. Strap handles from belly to below lip with ivy-leaf applique thumb-grips. Scraped horizontal grooves just above point of handle attachment. Framed by horizontal grooves and by handles is, on each side, painted pattern of central wreath, filleted boughs, hanging fillets.
Black to reddish-brown glaze over buff clay. White paint.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Pyre.
