Title:   Black Glaze Kantharos: West Slope

Description:   Mended and restored. Parts of rim, handle and body missing. Base has profile of two half-rounds separated by a concave area. Sides slope out sharply to point of greatest diameter; just below this point, a horizontal groove around body. Above, sides are slightly concave ending in simple rim. Two vertical handles with applique leaf(?) on top. Between handles a design of two rows of interconnected ivy leaves in diluted clay. A single vertical white line marks edge of decoration. Black glaze much worn on one side and part of one handle.
Dull buff fabric.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Room 7, Street Stoa, traces of burning, box 164. Found with L 5831 and P 30262.
