Description:   Apparently shaped by hand from thin sheet of clay with flat center, followed by dimples (two preserved) and then by broad undulating flutings (three preserved) as it rises into wall of vase. Possibly from outer wall (?) of plastic lekythos, rising to support enclosing scallop shells above and resting on waves (whence dimples).
Well fired, fairly thin-walled buff clay. Remains of black glaze over exterior. Metallic black glaze (or fired slip) over middle part of interior.
Context:   Well in room 6, upper dump fill.
