Title:   Amphora with Glaze Decoration

Description:   About two-thirds preserved of a belly-handled amphora, lower part found mostly in situ (cf. photo p. 1450).
Ring foot, ovoid body, short vertical neck. Glazed bands: around neck, three at shoulder, one on lower wall. Handles glazed with stripes which continue onto body. Shoulder to neck decorated with assorted running spirals.
Dull brownish glaze; coarse dark buff clay with inclusions.
Sub-Mycenaean (?).
Skeletal Inv. No. AA 338, cremated subadult-adolescent.
Context:   North of Temple, east of polygonal wall.
