Description: | Single fragment preserving parts of at least four edges. Clay not well-baked, fired closest to pink 7.5YR 8/4-7/4. The piece is conceivably a mold (?). For similar moulds of later date see Hesperia 46, 1977, pl. 85, nos. C16-C17; pl. 90, H 5. There is a similar "mould", identified as such by C. Mattusch, from one of the "Submycenean" wells, see Hesperia 46 (1977), p. 341, Agora B 1621 (cf. also B 1622, B 1623 all three from well U 26:4). | |
