Title:   Black Glaze Amphora

Description:   Body, foot, handles and part of rim preserved as a single fragment, giving complete profile, together with two joining rim fragments. Chips missing from foot. Very worn.
Flaring ring foot, ovoid body, out-turned lip. Two thickened strap handles rise to just under lip. Two painted lines around shoulder at base of handle, one at upper juncture of handle.
Peeling reddish dull black glaze. Pinkish clay.
Context:   Well.
