Title:   Red Figure Cup: Type C

Description:   Mended, complete except for chips.
Cup with concave lip. Torus foot, rising within; raised fillet at juncture of stem and foot, offset by scraped grooves. Red-figure decoration within: an eight-spoked wheel, the spokes coming to a point as they reach the rim. Cross-hatched lines near base of spokes reflect binding of spokes to axle and/or each other. Spokes in two overlapping planes of four spokes each. Edge thick, curving to thicken more at juncture with spokes. Reserved: within handle, resting surface, bottom of cone within and outside of foot. Black glaze, peeling somewhat on exterior. Indistinct traces of letters between spokes:

Context:   Well.
Handling:   The vessel should not be handled by the handles or the foot. Care should be taken when putting vessel down due to a break in the stem.
