Description: | The mouth broken away; otherwise complete save for a few pieces from the body; mended from many fragments and restored in plaster. Between two cocks, a large floral ornament, outlined by incision. Filling ornaments: incised blob rosettes and petal rosettes, each petal outlined by incision. Yellow-buff slip over pink clay; the glaze fired red throughout. Abundant added red on the ornament, and on the cock's crests, wings and tails. Free use of incison. Attic Orientalizing. | |
