Description: | Single fragment, broken all around. Sloping shoulder of closed vessel, bulging, with two wide "steps" below; stump of narrow neck at top. On the bulge, row of close-set reverse-S patterns in six-line combing. Yellow-brown ware, fairly fine, cf. P 33879; thin brown slip with sepia spots, on outside only. Unclassified import, perhaps a version of "L. R. Light-combed Ware". | |
