Description: | Fragment from a large krater, broken all around. The glaze inside fired red. Part of the drapery, chiton and himation of a standing figure, the glaze lines of the drapery, and the reserving stripe, fired black; the background red. No relief contours. ADDENDA Probably same pot as P 4811. The top of this fragment has been broken off and given to M. Farnsworth for the purpose of analyzing the black and the red glaze; see the 9x12 photograph indicating the extend of the sample [11 July 1939]. | |
