Description: | Rectangular rim fragment. Double convex bowl with thin narrow downturned rim bearing a groove flanked by incisions on its top surface. Remains of a cavity between grooves on exterior at junction with lower bowl, and corresponding bulge between grooves on interior. Single fine grooves mark off rim on outside and inside. An applied spectacle-spiral on top of rim. Red clay, fine red gloss. Arezzo ware, Conspectus form 32.3 ca. 25-50 A.D. For shape cf. P 7513, P 20823. | |
