Description: | Single rim sherd. The shape imitates Phocean Red Slip ware, form 3 (B-C); not decorated. Yellow orange fabric (Munsell 7.5 YR 7/8, core to 5 YR 7/8), with numerous small brown inclusions; thin red to brownish slip (1.25 YR 5/8 to 2.5YR 6/6), preserved on exterior only. Minor spalling because of lime inclusions, inner surface eroded. Probably Corinthian. From a disturbed area? Early to mid. 5th c. A.D. | |
