Title:   Piriform Rhyton
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Complete; cracked along body; minor chipping at the rim and body; handle mended from three fragments.
Piriform shape; wide rim, slightly flaring; single vertical strap handle on shoulder; slender tapering funnel at bottom. Round piercing (ca. 0.004 m.) through bottom, slightly off-centered. Painted solid on interior and exterior of rim, and on outside face and edges of handle.
Below rim, two parallel horizontal lines of dots. On shoulder, broad band of curve-stemmed spirals, filled with stripes and chevrons. To right of handle, single papyrus, striped. Two groups of three horizontal bands on lower body. Horizontal bands on funnel bottom. Reddish to dark brown paint. Pinkish-yellow fabric.
