Agora Object: P 3889
Inventory Number:   P 3889
Section Number:   Λ 402
Title:   Red Figure Pyxis
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Parts of two legs broken and missing, as well as fragments of walls and the lid. Black glaze inside and out; reserved (or in thin glaze paint?) seem to have been the outside of the foot, and the underside, except for a band close to the bottom, and two circles around a dot in the center. The glaze is much damaged, but the scene is clear: a woman moving left toward a door, is looking back toward a second woman who moves toward right, her arm outstretched toward a third woman. The latter faces and moves left, one arm stretched in front of her holds something above a basket on the floor. Her other arm reaches out behind, toward the door. Between the first and second figures, a long fillet or garment hangs on the wall.
