Description: | Neck, handle, foot and most of one side of vase gone. Shoulder, very flat, reserved, with dots and rays in black glaze. Brownish-black glaze paint for maeander below shoulder and outlines and tails of scene. Of the scenes there is preserved only a single female figure draped, facing left. Her right hand is outstretched before her; in her left, held out behind her, she holds a mirror. Her lower legs and feet are missing. The black glaze on the lower body of the lekythos, with five purple bands, is excellent. | |
