Title:   Vessel Fragment with Relief Decoration

Description:   From wall of large vase of thick fabric. Outside an elaborate pattern apparently of tendrils in low relief. Inside ribbed.
Fine buff clay; dull bright red glaze inside; flaky black glaze outside.
ADDENDA I suggest that this is a first c. A.D. piece from the Patras or Corinth region. Similar sherds with rusticated decoration occur at Corinth (JWH).
Context:   Trench N, fill of terrace wall. Hellenistic disturbed in Roman times.
