Title:   Red Figure Loutrophoros Fragments

Description:   Four non-joining fragments of a closed pot (loutrophoros?):
a) Preserves part of the shoulder; handle attachment at right. Tongues, ovals, and wreath with berries. Below, uncertain representation. Probably belongs with
P 5220.
b) A draped female figure seated, left, her embroidered cloak across her lap.
c) The bent elbow and a bit of the drapery of a standing figure wearing a chiton embroidered with crosses. Thinner fabric than a) or b).
d) Bent arm and back of a partly draped figure(?). Not from the same pot as a), b) or c).
A fragment joining to a) found in tins gives parts of the heads of two horses, left, seen against an Ionic column; and a hand stretching out to them from the left. Heavy relief contour; brown for eye, nostril and forelock.
