Title:   Pyxis with Lid
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Mended from many fragments; largely complete; restored in plaster.
Pyxis: low ring base, unpainted. Flange unpainted save for stripe around inner edge. Around body, triple zigzag band with single zigzags above and below, bordered and separated by stripes.
Lid: pyxis-shaped handle. Row of short strokes near edge, matched by similar row in corresponding position on handle.
Two pairs of string holes in lid and flange.
Buff clay, grayed in part, showing signs of burning after breaking. Black to brown glaze, somewhat worn.
Context:   Geometric burial.
