Title: | Amphora: West Slope
Category: | Pottery | |
Description: | Mended from many fragments; complete, save for part of rim and a few pieces from body. Closely resembles Pfuhl (1923), fig. 753, in shape and decoration. The principle differences lie in the twisted handles ending in Satyr heads, and the omission of the pattern under the rim, in our specimen; on the shoulder, a single central checkerboard is used. Thin white paint nearly all disappeared. Attic clay.
