Title:   Pyxis Lid: West Slope

Description:   Restored in plaster. Rounded bottom with imitation foot made by depressing a circular panel; two grooves around foot. Inside foot, double cross of white and thinned clay paint. On body above grooves, ivy pattern, leaves in thinned clay paint, stems and berries in white; two more grooves; pattern of horizontal white and vertical thinned clay paint strokes alternating. Keel between body and concave high rim; on rim, alternating white and thinned clay paint strokes; grooved below upper edge of out-turned rim.
Glaze black to red, inside and out.
Context:   Cistern, middle fill.
