Description:   Mended from several fragments; less than half the rim, and two bits from the central part, missing. Restored in plaster. Large plate; high ring foot profiled outside, grooved around resting surface, fired red inside; broad raised rim, thrown separately. Center fired red, surrounded by hatched band.
Attic clay. Glaze, where not red, iridescent brown to black. Diameter of central red circle corresponds exactly with that of base, showing decorative use of effects of stacking in kiln.
